If you are an exchange student: you should have sufficient funds to cover your living expenses for the duration of your exchange programme.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: We do not advise to choose this option, because of the coronavirus situation.
Only use this option if it is impossible for you to get a valid bank statement. Please be advised that you will get your living expenses transferred back into a Dutch bank account, which you can only open when you are in the Netherlands, and once you have registered at a municipality. It takes at least one month before you have an active Dutch bank account, so make sure you bring enough spending money for the first month.
