The Amsterdam Law School of the University of Amsterdam aims for a study environment and an educational concept in which academic freedom and independence play a central role. The basic principle is that in a climate of freedom and individual responsibility, students’ talents will develop to their highest potential. This is reflected in the atmosphere and attitude cultivated by the faculty, students and staff, and the informal way in which they interact with each other.
